You Are in Safe Hands
Safety
Trusting someone with your ride, or a loved one’s, is a big deal. That’s why we treat every rider like family, with trained drivers, secure vehicles and a steady hand from door to door.
Trained and Certified Drivers
Every driver is licensed, background-checked, CPR and First Aid certified, PASS trained in passenger assistance, safety and sensitivity, and trained in defensive driving.
Secure and Well-Kept Vehicles
Your wheelchair stays locked in place with Q’Straint four-point tie-downs built to WC18 crash-safety standards and designed for WC19 crash-tested chairs. Every vehicle is inspected on a regular schedule.
The Right Fit for You
Bariatric-ready ramps, a power transfer seat and a low-riding van mean every rider gets in and out safely and comfortably.
Driven by Care
Compassion
For many of our riders, this is one of the hardest times in their lives. Whether they’re recovering from a serious or traumatic workplace injury, getting through ongoing treatment, or simply need a helping hand, every ride matters. We see that, and we take it to heart. We’re committed to being a reliable, compassionate partner in your care, with consistent drivers and the same trusted team showing up ride after ride, so you always know what to expect.
Dignity at Every Step
From wheelchair to walker to cane, we’re with you at every stage of your recovery, with a steady hand, no rushing, and respect for your pace, privacy and needs.
People Who Care
When you call, you reach our team, not a call center, and families get one contact who knows their riders by name. Behind the wheel, our drivers are compassionate, patient and committed to your care, ride after ride.
We Listen
Every rider is different, and riders, their families and care teams know best what each person needs. Maybe it’s a little extra time, help at the door, a heated seat on a cold morning, or your seat reclined just right. Tell us once, and we’ll note it and make sure every driver knows before they arrive, so you never have to ask twice.

Why choose us?
Northshore Transit Connects is a locally owned non-emergency medical transportation company based in the Northshore area and serving Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana. We focus on the riders who need dependable transportation most: veterans, injured workers and dialysis patients. Getting to care shouldn't be the hardest part of getting care, and every rider is someone's parent, child or neighbor. We drive like it.
On Time, Both Ways
We plan around your appointment, not ours. Whether it’s a standing dialysis ride, a therapy visit or a same-day appointment, we confirm every trip ahead of time so you, your family and your care team know exactly when we’ll be there.
Safety You Can Count On
Our vehicles are inspected and maintained on a regular schedule. Every driver is licensed, background-checked, and trained in defensive driving, mobility assistance and proper wheelchair securement.
Care That Puts You First
Every rider is someone’s parent, child or neighbor, and we treat them that way. That means a steady hand getting in and out, patience, clear communication, and respect for each person’s medical and mobility needs.
Rides for Every Need
From ambulatory rides to wheelchair-accessible vans and bariatric-capable vehicles, we match the right vehicle to each rider. Don’t have a wheelchair, or need one with leg elevation or reclining support? We can provide one for your ride. We work directly with hospitals, clinics, the VA, workers’ comp adjusters, case managers and families to make every trip simple. And it’s not just medical appointments. We’ll take you to family visits, parties and the moments that matter.
Clear and Accountable
Clear pricing, accurate and timely billing, and private information handled with care. When you call, you reach a real person who can confirm a ride, answer a question or make a change quickly. NSTC is a Veterans’ service approved transportation provider.
Choose a partner that treats transportation as part of care, not just a ride.
Book with Confidence. Ride with Dignity.
